Troy Dann has had a string of awards winning the prestigious ‘ Australian Young Achiever of the Year Award' , ‘The Northern Territories Industries and Development Award', and nominations for two TV ‘Logie Awards ', to mention a few. His best selling autobiography named ‘Bulldust & Dreams,' and the international success of his top rating live action television series ‘Outback Adventures with Troy Dann' sealed his place as a true Australian ambassador. These achievements paved the way for an ever growing consumer platform, and now Whip Cracking Productions (WCP) can capitalise on his high profile, branding and public image. Troy provides a platform of product delivery with a voice that people listen to, advice that is heeded, and an opinion that is highly respected within both the city corporate, outback, and Aboriginal communities. Troy Dann has proven a truly marketable talent and has committed his life to educating and sharing the beauteous wonders of outback Australia, its people, fauna, flora and unique produce to the National and International consumer.
David Strachan - Director
David has over 20 years commercial experience in finance and banking holding various senior management and corporate finance positions. He is the principal of Strachan Business Services Pty Ltd, a company specialising in accounting and business advisory services with a range of tailored business solutions for early stage development and growth companies. David holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and a registered Tax Agent. He provides a wealth of experience in strategic planning, operational and financial performance measurement and practices, including the development of business strategies aimed at preserving and enhancing shareholder value.
Michael de Vere - Director
Michael de Vere is principal of de Vere Lawyers. He has extensive experience in commercial law and all aspects of creating, commercialising and protecting Intellectual Property. Michael's clients are involved in the media, advertising, entertainment and property development industries.
KEY STAFF
Tex Houston - Production Manager
Tex Houston's experience in the field of media, business and public relations spans across several continents. From being a television reporter, to being the Administration and Public Relations Manager for a professional basketball team and was appointed Business Development Manager for ‘Sports Super Centre' on the Gold Coast. Tex has been highly involved in the liaising between cast and crew, script proofing and much more. Tex has become the core of the daily running of WCP, and provides imperative business support and coordination for the CEO and his team.
Amanda Hargreaves - Creative Manager
As the creative director and senior graphic designer, Amanda has been a key support in developing the concept, visual direction, and market appeal of the WCP brands. Amanda has been highly instrumental in the creative development of each of the multi-media platforms, demonstrating excellent design management skills, creative flair and technical know how. Coming to WCP from a position as the design team leader for an international holiday company, where she moulded and maintained the company's distinct market presence in the Asia Pacific region. From printed media, promotion design, creative management and environmental design, her experience and creativity is a valued asset to WCP.
Jennifer Ryan - Graphic Designer
Jennifer Ryan has an extensive background in graphic design, art direction and project coordination across a broad spectrum of fields. Organisations such as the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (including the Wild Island adventure playground), various tourist theme parks, holiday resort chains and corporations like Trendwest South Pacific, have all benefited from her direction and conceptualism. Artistic direction over portfolios such as full gloss retail magazines and government agencies aptly showcase her flexibility and skill. Jennifer's continuing interest in current market trends across varied industries enables her to position WCP respectively amongst its competitors.
Craig Stevenson - Senior 3D Animation Technician
Craig has worked on a range of high profile productions and projects such as Scooby Doo, Lord Of The Rings (Return of the King), Superman Returns, The Marine, See No Evil, GhostShip, Lost World, Inspector Gadget 2, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct and many more. As a Disney traditionally trained animator, through the R.Williams Disney animation master-classes, Craig brings a highly creative and diverse production skill set to AUS Animation enabling our productions to have a cutting edge and high quality visual appeal.
Caine Mitchell - Senior Editor
After completing a Bachelor in Communication (Majoring in Screen Production), Caine has spent nearly three years running his own post production company. With nearly ten years industry, knowledge and experience, Caine has serviced a growing list of high profile clients, including Austar Communications, Birch Carrol and Coyle Cinemas, The Gold Coast Titans, Queensland Transport, and many more. In addition to this, Caine has also freelanced to various post production companies throughout Australia. With this, Caine has proved to be a pivotal team member of WCP.
