Troy Dann is already a household name due to the huge success of his TV series ‘Outback Adventures with Troy Dann’. The TV series was aired on prime time TV on Channel 7, against ER and NYPD Blue. Winning ratings in some sectors against ER (which was at the time the number one rating show in Australia) and convincingly beating NYPD Blue in every state of Australia for two successful seasons.

He has appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines and was labelled the ‘Next Big Thing from Down Under’ at the Cannes Film Festival, France.

Troy’s autobiography Bulldust & Dreams was a best seller. ‘Sales and Best-seller Report – A review by Kerry Lonergan’ enthusiastically states “Troy Dann would be arguably Australia’s best known Outback icon and his book Bulldust & Dreams is the latest project and pleased to say a great read.” Troy Dann’s dedication has spawned success both in and out of the entertainment industry and highlights include:

    CFO

    David has over 20 years professional and commercial experience in finance and banking holding various senior management and corporate finance positions. He is the principal of Elevation Accountants and Advisors, a company specialising in accounting and business advisory services offering a range of tailored business solutions to early stage development and growth companies.

    David holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and registered Tax Agent. He provides a wealth of experience in strategic planning, operational and financial performance measurement and practices, including the development of business strategies aimed at preserving and enhancing shareholder value.

    Board responsibilities

    WCP is committed to the proper identification and management of risk. WCP plans to put in place a process to identify and measure business risk, including regular review of results from its risk identification procedures. The Audit, Business Risk and Compliance Committee will be charged with overseeing of this process.

    WCP will regularly undertake reviews of its risk management procedures which include implementation of a system of internal sign-offs to ensure not only that WCP complies with its legal obligations but that the Board, and ultimately Shareholders, can take comfort that an appropriate system of checks and balances is in place regarding those areas of the business which present financial or operating risks.

    WCP has also adopted a code of conduct which sets out WCP’s commitment to maintaining the highest level of integrity and ethical standards in all business practices.

    The Board has ultimate responsibility to set policy regarding business and affairs of WCP for the shareholders and any future stakeholders. The Board delegates management of WCP’s resources to senior management, under the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer, to deliver the strategic direction and goals determined by the Board.

    In discharging their duties, Directors are provided direct access to and may rely upon senior management and outside advisers and auditors, Board committees and individual directors may seek independent professional advice at WCP’s expense for the purposes of the proper performance of their duties.

    The Board will discharge its duties in relation to certain specific functions through the following committees of the Board:

  • Audit, Business Risk and Compliance Committee
  • Audit, business risk and compliance committee

    The Audit, Business Risk and Compliance Committee will monitor and review the effectiveness of WCP’s controls in the areas of operational and balance sheet risk, legal and regulatory compliance and financial reporting. The committee discharges these responsibilities by:

  • Overseeing the adequacy of the controls established by senior management to identify and manage areas of potential risk and to safeguard the assets of WCP
  • Overseeing WCP’s relationships with the external auditor and the external audit function generally
  • Evaluating the processes in place to ensure that accounting records are properly maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and financial information provided to investors and the Board is accurate and reliable.
