We work with vibrant regional communities to develop mutually beneficial tourism information and enrich Australian and Outback global appeal – the “fair dinkum” way.

What is myoutback.tv?
It is a safe user propelled website community, for people worldwide to interact and share experiences; where outback history, culture, adventure and environment are on display. We aim to work with our vibrant regional communities to develop mutually beneficial tourism information and enrich Australian appeal – the ‘fair dinkum‘ way.

My Outback TV is a rapidly growing and trusted family friendly site. Facilities such as photo sharing, video sharing, groups and the ‘Outback Adventures‘ emagazine, unlocks a plethora of opportunities for users to swap or buy products locally or internationally and share their unique firsthand knowledge to a worldwide outback and adventure audience. Our vision focuses on member submissions and how they positively contribute to the long term economic growth, visitation and yield of outback areas – effectively increasing Australia’s competitiveness as an attractive and unique destination.

Essentially www.myoutback.tv has interest categories for both domestic and international sectors of all ages; with membership divided into two main categories for adults (16–100yrs) and children (5–16 years). As content and user interaction must be age appropriate, two different member groups were required and put in place. These two membership age groups are based on the premise, that our demographics will incorporate the following key groups:

  • Children (ages 5–16)
  • Teenagers (ages 16–21)
  • Travel with family (ages 15–19)
  • Young independent travel (ages 20–29)
  • Travel as a younger family (ages 30–49, with children)
  • Late working life (ages 50–59, with or without children, working)
  • Early post retirement (ages 55–64, not working)
  • Late post retirement (ages 65–69, not working)
  • Opportunities

Partnerships: Opportunities for cross promotion and advertising exist with select businesses and product retailers. Domestic and international retailers will be encouraged to advertise on the site and in the ‘Essence of the Outback’ magazine. The development of strong tourism industry partnerships, sponsorships, advertising and merchandise / product alliances, will propel expansion in the sales division. This will create a need for a vast array of recommended Australian outback products, holiday packages, tours and merchandise.

Identified future expansion possibilities include an internal My Outback radio station and TV streaming and incorporation of SMS technologies. New technologies will create avenue for new partners in the industry with long term effects; giving the site the ability to mutate and flow with changing trends and consumer emotional responses in real time technology. We wish to partner with all levels of tourism and business that recognise the same values and levels of ethic trade, from government to micro partners.
