Outback Legends
Rated PG and currently in development … this feature is set in the heart of Outback Australia, encircled by the rustic charm and vast landscapes of the dusty Northern Territory, Outback Legends follows the exploits of six very different children, all brought together by the same adversities.
Zac Dawson is the eldest of the children at 16, with the courage and heart of a bull, this thrill seeker is a natural born leader and champion motorbike rider. Zac’s best mate is his blue heeler dog Oakie. His younger sister Zara at 15, is an accomplished horse rider with a free spirit and fool hearty nature. Zara loves to be the practical joker; Billy is a 15 year old Aboriginal boy and Zac’s best mate. Billy possesses unique outback survival skills and can hear the spirit of the land like his ancestors.
Sally 13, is the youngest. She is always trying to prove herself to the older siblings and exhibits an uncanny gift with animals and reptiles; Jimmy and Alice, 16 and 14 respectively, are the Dawson’s next door neighbours. They live on a million acre ranch and are both fierce rivals of the Dawson kids.
The children are thrust into the wilderness and the danger of the untamed, as they run into conflict with poachers, bushrangers and thieves. Their journey is one of thrilling escapades and mystery in an action packed world of the hidden passages, cryptic messages, abandoned ruins, wild animals, savage reptiles and precious gemstones… all in a race against time. Through all the adrenalin pumping action, the children eventually realise they need to work together, to overcome insurmountable odds in keeping the outback and its environment protected.
